Re: IMPORTANT Hiring Hall Fee Changes

By recommendation of Legal Counsel, Local 115 has updated its Uniform Rules and Regulations applicable to its Hiring and Referral System. This document describes the way work is distributed on Local 115’s Referral list. By action taken at our December 2008 meeting we adopted this new document.

All those persons currently on the A, B or C referral list who wish to remain on the referral list must register during the month of January on the Hiring Hall Form provided by the Local each year and pay a Referral/Hiring Hall Fee of $20.00. Persons delinquent in renewing will be assessed an additional $10.00 late fee to remain on the referral list as of February 1^st. Persons holding a Membership Card in good standing in IATSE Local 115 will pay this fee as outlined in Article X, Sec 1. of the Constitution and Bylaws. Such applicants must maintain a working phone number with answering machine or voice mail in order to remain on the referral list. Persons removed from the referral list for any reason must contact the Business Agent in writing to request reinstatement on the referral list.

All work dues and fines must be paid in full before attempting to register on the Referral list. Please remember that all cash payments should be in sealed envelopes with your name and amount of money enclosed. Checks and money orders should also have the applicants name on it. The officers and members of Local 115 hope you will continue to work with us.
